The motion of the Commission on Civil Liberties
of the European Parliament
The Commission on Civil Liberties of the European Parliament adopted on December 12, 1993 a motion for a Resolution on Conscientious Objection that said in one of its points:
Considers that this fundamental right of conscientious objection also relates to tax contributions and calls therefore on the Member States to draw up a reply to the conscientious objections of people who are forced to support the military system through the national budget
